Water-based liquids for temporary corrosion protection

VCI Active Pack – Netnocor 2120 water-based liquid for corrosion protection of steel and iron provides safe and environmentally friendly water-based temporary corrosion protection in the form of a soft wax-like coating.

Netnocor 2120 can be added to any metal processing lines using water-based liquids like cutting fluid, cleaning lines, washing lines and deburring systems. After dry processing like casting, forging or machining, steel parts can be immersed in the liquid and dried immediately to provide up to two weeks of corrosion protection.

How to apply it?

Netnocor 2120 water-based liquid for corrosion protection is applied as a 20-80% water solution. The level should be increased for hard to protect metals like cast iron and low carbon steels.

The temperature of steel parts before immersion should not exceed 900 °C, and the parts should be dried immediately after dipping.

It is highly recommended using the residual heat from the process to dry the parts and therefore save additional drying costs. The parts should be left to dry with a residual temperature of 20-40 °C higher than the ambient temperature.
